The Sea Spray Water On-Demand pump system was invented from necessity. Owning a boat and living on a lake, one would think washing the boat would be a fairly easy task, but it’s not! Most waterfront homes and resorts with a dock do not have running water on or near them because the initial cost of installing an insulated water line from the building to the dock could cost the homeowners thousands—not to mention the actual cost of public water.

Design

Sea Spray is designed for boats 25’ in length or less. The bow rise of longer and larger boats is too high off the waterline and has a much larger freshwater capacity but works great on a dinghy! Any type of boat exposed to the elements for just a couple days on the water will more than likely need a quick wash or rinsing before heading out, and this is where the ease of using Sea Spray will come in handy!

Instead of grabbing the old wash mitt and bucket, then hauling out the fifty or hundred feet of hose–and everyone knows what that’s like–in less than 30 seconds, Sea Spray is out of its storage bag and already cleaning while most boaters are still untangling the garden hose and breaking a sweat. Just pull Sea Spray out of its handy mesh storage bag, which also doubles as a backpack, then plug it in to any sized boat equipped with a cigarette lighter outlet, throw the pump in any body of water, and instantly you will have running water to wash and clean your boat before you go out or after you come in. The Sea Spray washer and pump system is portable and plugs into a standard 12-volt cigarette lighter. If your boat doesn’t have a cigarette outlet, no problem! Sea Spray comes with an alligator clip adapter which will connect to any 12-volt battery and has 9 ft. of cable for those hard-to-reach battery locations–this is what you will plug your Sea Spray into.

Washing a boat at your moorage slip or marina can also be hazardous. Working on or around the boat with mooring lines still attached to cleats and shore power cords plugged in, plus the addition of a bucket of soapy water or a garden hose to trip over can be an accident waiting to happen. Harvesting and storing water can be challenging when away from home and, depending on the location of your destination, an even more difficult task than planned for in remote camping locations. Although there could be a lake, stream, pond, or small creek nearby, extracting the water from the source can be an even larger task. Filling water bottles or scooping water is a slow, exhausting, and insufficient way. Sea Spray needs a minimum depth of 1” – 3” inches or 25 – 76mm of water, which is easily obtainable just by digging down below the water level to get cleaner water if needed.
